3D-Printed Bone Models: Visualizing Human Variation

I am developing a project focused on visualizing human skeletal variation through 3D-printed anatomical models. The goal is to create a comparative collection of human long bones, particularly radii and ulnae, printed at true anatomical size (1:1 scale) from 3D scans of actual specimens.

By printing bones from different individuals, I aim to demonstrate the range of morphological variation in human skeletal anatomy, including differences in bone length, curvature, robusticity, and anatomical features. Rather than relying solely on photographs or measurements, this collection would allow students and researchers to handle and directly compare physical models.

The project combines 3D printing with biological anthropology to explore how digital anatomical models can make human variation more tangible and accessible for teaching and research.
